SRM Fasteners Ltd Company History

The owner Steve Lee began SRM Fasteners Ltd in 1995 from his parents spare bedroom when he was just 25 years old after being made redundant in December 1994.  He borrowed £2000 from his father to buy some stock, which surely ran out very quickly.

Steve started the business supplying nuts and bolts to construction companies and alike.  He soon found that supplying GALVANISED fasteners was his future.

Since 26 years of trading, Steve can still remember after all of this time, who gave him his first order and support, still to this day he speaks about this particular person.

“It wasn’t easy and still isn’t by far”, he says about developing the business. But with persistence, self drive along with good support from his customers and alike. Our business now incorporates a 11000sqft warehouse and office premises.  The warehouse houses over 3500 different Hot Dipped Spun Galvanised products to ISO 1461.

Fastener Distribution

A high proportion of our business is distributing to the fastener industry within the UK and Ireland (worldwide distribution also available). Furthermore, we supply to market sectors in engineering, construction, fabrication, agriculture, architecture, garden and home DIY industries.

SRM Fasteners Ltd rates are competitive on single items up to mass distribution. Products can be couriered through an overnight service if items are required on a next day delivery service; timed deliveries are also available on request.

Specialist Services

Additionally to our HOT DIPPED GALVANISED specialist service, SRM Fasteners Ltd supplies zinc plated and stainless steel products in all grades and finishes. These are available within 24-48 hours from enquiry and we can offer a manufacturing service for bespoke items.
